Bonifacio Marina Joins SEA Index® to Champion Sustainable Yachting and Port Management

We are very pleased to count Bonifacio Marina as one of the Institutional Port signatories of the SEA Index®.

As a certified Clean Port aligned with the Blue Flag label awarded to the Port of Bonifacio, Bonifacio Marina has implemented an ambitious environmental policy that sets a European benchmark for port management.

In collaboration with the Superyacht Eco Association, Bonifacio Marina aims to enhance the environmental attractiveness of its facilities.

This partnership seeks to measure and mitigate the carbon emissions of yachts over 25 meters, promoting the arrival of vessels that emit less CO2 and Green House Gases, supporting the region’s environmental transition.

‘Our SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association membership aligns perfectly with our vision of a more sustainable and innovative future, as does our pilot project for a mooring area for large yachts. 14 eco-designed mooring buoys for yachts up to 60 metres. The project completed in 2021 and is still the only zone of its kind in France,’ said Michel Mallaroni, Director of the Bonifacio Marina.
