SEA Index – Superyacht Eco Association supports Lloyd’s Register’s Yacht Safety Culture and Crew Wellbeing industry survey, we invite you to read their message and partake in the survey below:
Recent incidents in the yachting community have highlighted the importance of safety. While human error is often blamed, deeper investigations reveal a complex interplay between people, processes, and technology. This raises the question: Do we truly understand the safety level of our industry?
Lloyd’s Register (LR) will use a proactive, data-driven approach to safety. We will conduct a comprehensive safety and crew wellbeing culture survey across seagoing yachts and their management companies. This initiative aims to measure safety practices, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights.
We need industry-wide participation to make this effort successful. We urge yacht owners, operators, captains, management companies, and crew members to share their perspectives. Together, we can redefine safety standards through informed, collaborative action.
I hope you can support us by distributing this survey to ensure broad participation. Your involvement is crucial in shaping a safer yachting community.
We intend to run the survey for a period of 3 months. Following that, we will compile a comprehensive report which will be shared with you.
The survey can be accessed via the following link (useful when using a computer or tablet) or QR Code (useful when using a mobile phone) and is completely anonymous.
