Sirius Maritime Group Deepens Commitment to Sustainability as a Corporate Member of SEA Index®

Monaco, march 24th 2025

Sirius Maritime Group, a leader in comprehensive yacht management solutions, independent of brokerage activities, proudly announces its membership with the SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association. This significant move builds upon its existing relationship with SEA Index, which has already certified part of its fleet with the flagship CO2 certification. The new corporate membership further enhances the company’s proactive approach to environmental responsibility.

Recognising the shifting tides in the yachting industry, Sirius Maritime Group acknowledges that owners, charterers, and stakeholders increasingly prioritise unbiased information on sustainability, with SEA Index offering trusted environmental impact assessments. By formalising its corporate membership, Sirius Maritime is taking a decisive step toward influencing the industry’s sustainable future.

“The SEA Index certification has provided us with invaluable insights into the carbon footprint of our managed vessels, enabling us to propose effective emissions reduction strategies,” said Svilen Vodenicharov, CEO at Sirius Maritime Group. “Formalising our corporate membership is a natural progression in our sustainability journey—reflecting both our core values and the expectations of the owners and clients we serve”.

About SEA Index

Launched in 2020 by the Yacht Club de Monaco, under the aegis of its ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting initiative’, the Superyacht Eco Association (SEA Index) is a non-profit organisation designed to minimise the impact of yachting in order to preserve the oceans for future generations.

By enabling yachting stakeholders to accurately measure and reduce their environmental impact via a range of unbiased tools, methodologies and indices, SEA Index empowers the yachting community and increases transparency throughout the sector.

SEA Index’s flagship CO2 certification program is based on the International Maritime Organisation’s EEDI and EEXI and is adapted for yachts 24m+. The only superyacht design index to offer third-party verification, certificate holders that achieve 3-stars or higher on the SEA Index are invited to join the SEA Index network, which provides access to exclusive benefits, including priority berthing at selected ports and marinas.
