SEA Index® Expansion Enhances Yachting Standards in Menton

We are pleased to confirm the Ports of Menton have recently become an Institutional Member of the SEA Index® network. Deployed at both Vieux Port de Menton and Port de Garavan, SEA Index will raise environmental awareness amongst visiting yacht owners and encourage less impactful yachting throughout the French Riviera.

As part of the ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting’ collective, SEA Index provides reliable and unbiased CO2 assessment tools to measure the energy intensity of superyachts over 25 metres.

Now being promoted at the Ports of Menton, visiting yacht owners, captains and industry stakeholders will be able to learn more about SEA Index, explore the benefits our certification program offers and employ our quick calculator tool to assess the carbon footprint of their vessel.

Superyachts achieving a 3-star rating or higher are encouraged to proceed to full certification, verified by maritime classification society Lloyd’s Register, to unlock the benefits of SEA Index membership, including priority berths and exclusive discounts at ports, harbours, and marinas within our network.
